Librarian certification, or licensure, is the process of gatekeeping the librarian profession as a way of protecting Wisconsin children, and community at large, from incompetent or dangerous individuals. Explore licensing pathways toward the librarian career below. Additionally, for all other types of librarian, an educational requirement of a masters degree in Library and Information Science is often required for any entry-level position.
