As school librarians regularly work with children and are part of the educational framework vital toward schools and districts meeting their educational goals, standardization of skills and background checks are highly important.
For most all other types of librarians in Louisiana, educational gatekeeping requirements still exist in the form of entry-level jobs requiring a masters degree in Library and Information Science. Find all Library and Information Science degree programs in Louisiana.
