Librarian Certification Guide for the state of Kansas

Certification, or licensure, is the state’s way of ensuring only highly qualified candidates are allowed to apply and hold community sensitive careers. In Kansas, the school librarian is the only type of librarian required to hold certification. However, most all other types of librarian are still required to possess a masters degree in Library and Information Science in order to be considered for positions.
